One God, Three Persons

Maria always woke up before the sun. In the quiet moments, she imagined a God who sits with you, sharing the silence. Not because she was disciplined, but because her mind never stopped racing.

Bills.
Her son’s diagnosis.
Her mother’s declining health.
The ache of feeling like she had to hold everything together.

She sat at the kitchen table with her coffee, staring at the steam rising like a prayer she didn’t know how to pray.

“God, I don’t even know how to talk to You anymore,” she whispered.

She expected silence.
Instead, something unexpected happened.

A memory surfaced, something her grandmother used to say when Maria was a child:

God is not far away. He is Father above you, Son beside you, and Spirit within you.

He is God with you

Maria hadn’t thought about that in years.

She closed her eyes.

And suddenly, she wasn’t alone at the table. She felt God presence sitting right there with her.

Not in a mystical way.
But in a real way.

She sensed the Father: steady, strong, holding the universe and still holding her.

It was one God meeting her in three ways she desperately needed.

The Father saying, “I see you.”
The Son saying, “I’m with you.”
The Spirit saying, “You’re not doing this alone.”

Maria didn’t get answers that morning.
But she got something better: presence.

And for the first time in months, she exhaled.

Life Application

You don’t have to understand the Trinity to experience the Trinity.

When you feel overwhelmed, remember-God is with you:

• The Father holds what you cannot.
• The Son walks with you through what you fear.
• The Spirit strengthens you for what you face.

You are never alone!

When Hope Feels Lost — God Speaks Again

A Hope Story from Exodus

Moses had obeyed at God’s command to go and Free His People.
He had stepped into his calling.
He had spoken to Pharaoh.
And it had gone terribly wrong.

Instead of freedom, the Israelites faced harsher slavery.
Instead of breakthrough, Moses faced backlash.
He cried out to God, questioning everything:

“Why did You ever send me?” — Exodus 5:22, (MSG)

And then — in Exodus 6 — God answered.

Not with rebuke.
Not with silence.
But with reminders of who He is.

God’s Response to a Weary Person (Exodus 6:1–8)

God said:

• “I am the Lord.”
• “I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob…”
• “I have heard the groaning of the Israelites…”
• “I will bring you out…”
• “I will redeem you…”
• “I will take you as My own people…”
• “I will be your God…”
• “I will bring you to the land I swore…”

Eight promises.
Eight declarations of identity.
Eight anchors of hope.

God didn’t change the circumstances immediately.
He changed Moses’ perspective.

This story is for anyone who has ever:

• obeyed God and felt punished for it
• stepped out in faith and hit a wall
• questioned their calling
• felt like hope was slipping away

It reminds us:

• God sees the groaning we hide
• God speaks when we feel forgotten
• God repeats His promises when we’re too weary to remember
• God’s identity is our anchor when circumstances feel unstable
• Hope is not the absence of struggle — it’s the presence of God in the middle of it

Prayer: When Hope Feels Lost

Lord, You are El Dober Od, the God who speaks again
When I feel like I’ve failed, remind me of Your promises.
When obedience leads to hardship, remind me of Your presence.
When I question why You sent me, whisper again that You are the Lord.

I am Lord: faithful, near and not finished. I have great plans for you.

Help me hold onto hope, not because I see the outcome,
but because I know the One who holds it.

Hager: A Story from Gensis

There are moments in life when we feel pushed aside, forgotten, or overwhelmed by circumstances we never asked for. In these moments, we often long for the presence of The God Who Sees Us. Hagar knew that feeling intimately. Her story in Genesis is one of the earliest and clearest pictures of God meeting someone in the very place they believed hope had died.

Hagar wasn’t a woman of status or power. She was a servant, mistreated, misunderstood, and eventually driven into the wilderness with nothing but her sorrow. Yet it was there — in the barren places — that God wrote one of Scripture’s most tender hope stories. Through Hagar’s journey, she learned of the God who sees us even in loneliness.

The First Wilderness (Genesis 16)

Hagar ran into the desert, carrying pain she didn’t know how to hold. And then Scripture says something astonishing:

“The Angel of the Lord found her…”

He didn’t stumble upon her.
God didn’t pass by.
He found her — intentionally, compassionately, purposefully.

God called her by name.
He spoke to her future.
He promised blessing over her son.

And Hagar responded with words that still echo through the ages:

“Thou God seest me.”
(Genesis 16:13, KJV)

A woman who felt invisible discovered she was fully known because of The God Who Sees Us.

The Second Wilderness (Genesis 21)

Years later, Hagar found herself in the desert again—sent away from the only home she had ever known, this time with her child beside her. When the last drop of water was gone, she laid Ishmael beneath a bush and stepped away, her heart breaking as she wept, unable to watch her son die.

But God heard the boy’s cry.
And once again, hope broke into the wilderness.

“Fear not; for God hath heard…”
(Genesis 21:17, KJV)

God opened her eyes to a well of water she hadn’t seen before. The God Who Sees Us provided water when she needed it most, in the wilderness.
Provision was already there — she just needed God to reveal it.

Why This Story Matters Today

Hagar’s story is for anyone who has ever felt:

• unseen
• forgotten
• overwhelmed
• pushed aside
• alone in a wilderness season

Her life reminds us:

• God sees what others overlook
• God hears the cries we can’t even speak
• God meets us in the desert places
• God provides what we cannot find on our own
• God writes hope into the chapters we thought were ending

Hagar discovered a truth that still holds today:
The God who sees us is also the God who stays with us.

Prayer: The God Who Sees Me

Father, You are the God who sees- El Roi
You see the places in my life that feel like wilderness.
You see the tears I hide, the fears I carry, and the questions I cannot put into words.
Just as You found Hagar in her loneliness and opened her eyes to Your provision,
open my eyes today to the hope You have already placed before me.

When I feel unseen, remind me that You call me by name.
God I feel forgotten, whisper that You are near.
When I feel overwhelmed, steady my heart with Your presence.
Meet me in the desert places and lead me to the well of Your grace.

Thank You for being the God who hears my cry,
the God who stays with me,
and the God who brings hope where hope seems impossible.
I rest in Your faithfulness today.

When Judgment Becomes a Doorway to Restoration

The book of Micah is often remembered for its strong words of justice and its bold confrontation of corruption. Yet woven through every warning is a golden thread of hope—a reminder that God’s heart is always bent toward restoration. Micah refuses to let despair have the final word. Even in seasons of discipline, God is working to redeem, rebuild, and renew His people.

Here are four radiant promises from Micah that anchor us when storms rise and the future feels uncertain.

God Will Not Abandon His People

Micah speaks into a moment when Israel’s unfaithfulness had reached a breaking point. Yet even then, God’s covenant love remained unshaken.

“I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel.”

God’s discipline is never abandonment. His correction is the pathway back to His presence. When we feel scattered, He gathers. When we feel lost, He leads. When we fear we’ve gone too far, He reminds us that His mercy goes further still.

Hope doesn’t always come from the places we expect. God delights in raising beauty from obscurity, strength from weakness, and salvation from a manger. Micah reminds us that God’s rescue plan was already unfolding long before His people could see it.

God Will Shepherd His People and Bring Peace

Micah’s vision of the coming King is not of a tyrant or conqueror, but of a Shepherd—gentle, strong, attentive, and faithful.

“He shall stand and shepherd His flock in the strength of the Lord… and He shall be their peace.”

This is the heart of God: not merely to rule us, but to shepherd us. To lead us beside still waters. To guard us from harm. To bring us into a peace that cannot be shaken by circumstances or storms.
