You live in the shortest part of eternity right now, so decide where you will spend the rest of it. It’s possible to live your life aiming for what seems like a perfect shot at the wrong target: Heaven or Hell.

A perfect shot at the wrong target still misses what matters most.

And That is a powerful picture of life.

A person can work hard, succeed, build a name, help others, and appear to hit every goal.

But when you aim your heart away from God and build your life around self, you still aim at the wrong target.

The wrong target leads to separation from God.

God is love, and making a perfect shot at the right target determines whether you find heaven or hell.

Hell is the absence of His love, His goodness, His peace, and all that flows from His presence.

The right target leads to life with Him forever.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Heaven is not reached through perfect performance: don’t make the mistake of aiming for a perfect shot at the wrong target for heaven or hell depends on your choices.

It is received through faith in Christ.

Aim your life at the right target.

Choose Jesus.

It is about truth.

Choose heaven with God forever.

Tim Keller once shared the story of Alice, a woman who endured severe abuse throughout much of her life. Yet despite everything she suffered, she remained loving, joyful, and filled with hope—a hope beyond this life.

When Tim asked how she could still live with such peace, she explained that Jesus would one day make all things right. She believed the broken things of this world would not stay broken forever.

Near the end of her life, Alice fell into a coma and was placed on a respirator. Tim visited her and read John 14:1-3 aloud:

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Do not be afraid. I go to prepare a place for you… so you may be with Me where I am.”

As he read, her expression changed. The sadness in her face lifted and became peaceful.

Tim later said:
“What makes heaven heaven is — I’ll be there.”

That is the hope of Christ.
Not the absence of pain in life.
But the presence of Jesus forever.

Many people ask, “What is my purpose?” while walking through some of the hardest seasons of their lives. Others quietly feel empty or bored even when life outwardly looks good around them.

What many do not realize is that the struggle itself is part of the preparation.

If we walk with God and within His purpose, all things WILL work together for our good, even the suffering, betrayal, injustice, loss, and hardship. God wastes nothing. Every painful experience forms strength, wisdom, endurance, humility, and direction for what lies ahead.

But the opposite is also true when we choose to walk apart from Him.

Look at Joseph in the Old Testament. His brothers wanted to kill him, sold him into slavery, he was falsely accused, and then thrown into prison. Yet God was working through every painful step. Joseph entered those trials immature and prideful, but suffering developed the character, wisdom, humility, and leadership needed for the calling ahead. He eventually rose to become second in command in Egypt and helped save an entire nation during famine.

What looked like destruction was actually preparation.

Every atom and molecule of what was meant for evil ultimately worked toward God’s greater purpose in Joseph’s life. The same remains true for those who walk with God in faith and obedience today. Good WILL come from evil when placed in God’s hands.

Purpose is found after the struggle, yet the purpose was being formed through it the entire time.

Find your purpose through your struggle, because God is building your greatest calling in the hardest seasons of life.

Many people quietly ask this question. Why do I feel Empty even when life looks Good?
They may have success, relationships, careers, possessions, or accomplishments, yet still feel something missing deep within.

The reason is that nothing temporary can fully fill what was created for something eternal.

God is the only One who can truly fill the empty place within the human heart. He is the source of life, truth, love, beauty, peace, and purpose.

When we turn toward Him, believe He truly loves us, receive His forgiveness, grace, and salvation, something begins to change internally. Life itself starts to make sense differently.

The beauty around us becomes more meaningful because all true beauty and love ultimately come from God.

Purpose grows.
Hope returns.
Peace begins to replace emptiness.

Sometimes the deepest longing in a person is not for more success, but for the One who created them.

God is Good and He Gives Hope and a Future

Hope is not found in circumstances. Instead, it is anchored in something unchanging.

Many search for meaning in what fades. Yet real hope points beyond the temporary and into eternity.

The question is not just what someone believes. The question is what they are willing to trust forever.

Can suffering actually lead you to your purpose?

During my final semester of college, both of my eyes hemorrhaged. Everything changed in an instant. What felt like loss became direction.

Suffering does not happen without purpose. It often redirects a life exactly where it was meant to go.

That moment led me to become a teacher of the blind and an assistive technology instructor. Through it, God opened the door to build TechVision, impacting lives around the world through access, skills, and independence.

Pain did not end the story. It revealed purpose, calling, and direction.

God’s purpose in suffering is real. What feels like devastation today may be preparation for something far greater tomorrow.

Have you ever experienced a moment of suffering that later revealed a deeper purpose in your life?

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Elk Video “Buttons” Knocks on Door and wants to go for a walk

A massive wildfire left this elk orphaned as a baby, and local mountain residents cared for her. They named her Buttons, and because of that early care, she became comfortable around people.

During my daily hikes, Buttons began approaching me and walking alongside me. Over time, it became part of her routine. She would come to the door as if asking when I was coming out, or wait quietly in the backyard.

What makes this even more remarkable is that the herd, which should have accepted her, did not. Buttons never fully integrated and seemed unsure of where she belonged, almost like she saw herself as something other than elk.

She was deeply loved, but for her safety, a natural park in Seattle eventually brought her in to join a managed herd and help her live more naturally and stay out of danger on the mountain.
